Families First!

On May 1st Diane LaFlamme participated on a panel of Corrections and Community Spokespersons in downtown Atlanta. The discussion was hosted by Families First, a Georgia based social service agency whose mission is “making families last.”

The panel members each made a presentation followed by discussion with those present. Many issues relating to the incarceration of family members were discussed including the psychological effects of incarceration on the inmates and their families and how the cycle of incarceration can be broken. We are grateful to Chris Valley for his invitation to this enlightening presentation.
