| A Vision Fulfilled
by Diane LaFlamme
On November 17th, three precious people, who we dearly love, left their home in Georgia, and almost all of their possessions, to answer a call from God to serve His chosen people in Israel. This adventure is amazing enough, but the story behind their calling from God is a true testimony of His faithfulness in fulfilling a vision.
This desire to move to Israel was first given to Bill and Donna 27 years ago. Donna recalls how a friend even confirmed the vision, when she ‘saw’ a “gray bus” and the Lord indicated that he was going to send them to Israel. They waited all these years for this to come to pass.
They did not realize the meaning of the “gray bus” in the vision until recently. The gray color really represented something neither black nor white, moving forward nor backward; in other words, it just sat there. And, of course if you ever try to go to Israel on a bus, you will soon realize that it takes a long time to get there. How easy it would have been to forget this vision because of its delay in coming. Yet, God says in His Word, that even if a vision delays it shall be fulfilled.
For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won't delay. (Hab. 2:3)
Bill, Donna and Abby, their daughter, will be a part of Christ Church, within the walls of the old city of Jerusalem. We will truly miss them and pray for their protection. We hope to keep in touch by e-mail and letters. You can learn more about this Church by visiting: www.christchurchjerusalem.org.
Zechariah Ministries hopes to continue blessing the Hutchinsons as they serve God’s chosen people.
